Marian Rice

Marian Rice, 69, of Sandusky, gained her wings, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 following a lengthy illness.

She was born on January 10, 1950 in Sandusky to the union of Marion and Thelma (Poole) Rice.

Marian lost her parents at a young age and was raised by her aunt, whom she resembled greatly, Eunice (Rice) Rollison.

She attended Perkins Schools and was employed by Red Barn, Hills Dept. Store, and the Ford Motor Company at the Lima Engine Plant. She was a former member of Agape Love Ministries. She loved shopping, playing BINGO, and going out to eat with family and friends.

Marian is survived by her son, Damon Rice; daughter, Ebonie Rice; grandchildren, Demetrius Scott, Jasmen Smoot, Ordreous Farris, Jada Smoot, Desire "Doodle" Rice, Chamajae Hamilton, Damaireon Alexander, Devareya Rice, Denasia Coy, Damionna Rice, Daavyn Coy, Diondre Hunter, Demari Rice, Dason Hunter, and Daibrein Hunter; great-grandchildren, Day'von Scott, Aniya Scott, Aaliyah Miller, Damya Scott; Ary'ana Scott, Braylen Ewing, and Harper Smoot; special friends, Shirley Swain, Louis Harvey, and Donnie Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Randleman and Gloria Lewis; special cousin, Elroy Rollison; special friend, Willa Mae Johnson; and special son, Paul Hardin.

Friends may call on Thursday, July 11, from 6-8 p.m. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services on Friday, July 12 will begin at 12 p.m. in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
