Glen J. "Bud" Sutphen Sr., 83, residing in Sandusky, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 7, 2019 at University of Toledo Medical Center after a brief illness.
Glen was born on July 8, 1935 in Sandusky, OH to the late Della Erchman.
Glen was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy and Sandhill Baptist. He loved his church, watching NASCAR, yard work and his truck.
Glen is survived by his wife, Loretta (Payne) Sutphen. He is also survived by his daughter, Rhonda Sutphen; sons, Terry (Bev) Sutphen, Danny (Tammy) Sutphen and Denny Sutphen; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Bath and Gloria Hildebrand and brothers, Sonny (Carol) Bath and Donny Bath.
In addition to his mother, Glen is preceded in death by his son, Glen J. Sutphen Jr; granddaughter, Felicia Sutphen; sisters, Dorothy Miller and Barbara Bender; brother, Paul Bath and other loved ones.
Friends may call on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 in the funeral home at 2:00 pm. Rev Charles Brooks and Rev. Jeff Baker will officiate.
