Bertha "Diane" Traylor, 64, of Sandusky, passed peacefully on Friday July 19, 2019 after a lengthy illness in Stein Hospice Care Center.
Diane was named after her grandmother, the late Bertha (Hyatt) Marshall. Diane was born on March 9, 1955 in Georgia to her parents, Billy and Mattie Brown.
She graduated from Sandusky High School and later earned her degree in Food Service Management. Diane worked as a kitchen and cafeteria manager at Providence Hospital until she retired.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Traylor; son, Terry Jones Jr.; special sons, Michael and Tre'y Jones; daughter, Brandy (Tyson) Moore, all of Sandusky; God Daughter, Shantice White, of Shawnee, Kansas; grandchildren, Jas'Miere Jones, Tre'Viar Jones, Ja'Marious White-Jones, Quin'Terrion Jones, Ka'Mari Jones, and Prince'Ton Jones, all of Sandusky, Ta'Vian and Ta'Marion Jones, both of Elyria, and Cali'yah Jones, of Columbus; sisters, Minnie "Bessie" Knight, of Rome, Georgia, Jackie Moore, of Sandusky, and Jeanette Parker, of Florida; brothers, Paul (Jane) Brown, Jerry Grant, and Mark Brown, all of Sandusky; sisters-in-law, Shirley ‘Ann' Brown, Lillie Brown, and Lavonda Brown, all of Sandusky; uncle, Coleman (Anita) Marshall, of Sandusky; special nieces, MonToya (Isaac) White, of Shawnee, Kansas, and Alisha Brown, of Sandusky; special nephews, Cash and Rico Brown, both of Sandusky; and a host of nieces and nephews; best friends, JoAnn Parker, Donna Herrin, and Maria Johnson, all of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Billie and Mattie Mae Brown; sisters, Janice "Bean" Brown, Darlene Brown, and Peggy Grant; brother, James "Bull" Brown, John "JB" Brown, Freddie Brown, Calvin "Flip" Brown, Percy "Q" Brown, Tommy "Da Gun" Brown, and Rex Brown; sisters-in-law, Stephanie Brown and Desarie Brown; uncle, Willie (Pat) Marshall; special son, Wendell "Dubb" Bray; special daughter, Jasmine Jones; and best friend, Marian Rice.
Diane was full of life and laughter. She said whatever she was feeling and didn't apologize for being herself. Diane was the type of person to help anyone.

Services will be held at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 224 Dixie Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870 on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11 a.m. with one hour of visiting the family prior.
