Janeann Graves Williams

Janeann Graves Williams, 82, of Castalia, died Sat., July 27, 2019, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Sept. 10, 1936, in Toledo, was a 1954 graduate of Margaretta High School, and was a homemaker.

She was a life member of Castalia Congregational United Church of Christ and a member of the Ladies Phi Theta Group of the church; a charter member of Margaretta Country Gals Extension Homemakers; Ohio Homemakers & Community Education Extension; Thomas Neill Women's Relief Corps #275 of Castalia; American Legion Post #83 Auxiliary of Sandusky; charter member of the Castalia Area Historical Society; and in 2012 received the Women of Excellence Award from the Volunteer Center and Zonta Club of Sandusky.

Janeann is survived by her daughter Barbara (Eugene "Butch") Weyer of Castalia; her son Timothy (Bonnie) Williams of Apache Junction, AZ; 3 grandchildren Elizabeth (Michael) Hubans, Rebecca, and Beverly (Tyler) Butcher; two great grandchildren Matthew and Luke Hubans; step grandchildren; step great grandchildren; brother Barden L. (Sally) Graves of Castalia; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Williams; daughter Dawn Cristo Williams; parents Barden E. and Elizabeth Graves; sister Barbara Mae Graves; and two brothers Robert Barden and Wayne "Bill" Graves.

Friends may call from 3-7 pm Thursday, Aug.1, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, Aug. 2. Pastor John Paputza will officiate and burial will be in Graves Cemetery, Margaretta Township.
