Gregory Paul Turner, 53, of Huron, left this Earth, surrounded by his family, late Tuesday evening, August 13, 2019 in Firelands Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born on August 2, 1966 in Milford, MA to Iris (Stewart) Turner and the late Ronald C. Turner.
A 1984 graduate of Vermilion High School, Greg was a C.P.A. for many years, working for Medical Mutual and currently for Barnes Nursery.
Greg loved to golf, listen to classic rock, and was willing to drive just about anywhere for good food. Most important, he loved his family, especially being "Papa" to his grandchildren.
Greg is survived by his daughter, Erin (Nick) Lublow, of Sandusky; son, Jonathon Turner, of Sandusky; mother, Iris Turner; grandchildren, Joey and Oliver Lublow; aunts, Vera and Cathy; uncles, William and Robert; and several nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Marilyn (Sample) Turner, just this past May 4, 2019; father, Ronald Turner, in 2003; and brother, Michael Turner, in 2018.
Per Greg's wishes, cremation will take place. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until services begin at 12 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2019 in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, Chaplain Mel Sayler will officiate. Inurnment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
