Larry David Wright, 68, residing in Brook Park, unexpectedly passed away Sunday morning, August 25, 2019 at Southwest General Hospital in Middleburg Heights.
Larry was born on September 30, 1950 in Port Clinton, OH to the late Vance and Kathryn (Ireland) Wright.
Larry graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1968. He retired from the Sandusky Fire Department after 25 years of service and also was a school bus driver for Sandusky City Schools for 35 years. Larry was the Firefighter Union Vice President IAFF Local 327 for many years and a member of the Wakeman Eagles.
Larry is survived by his wife, Diana (Heller) Wright. He is also survived by his daughters, Heather Marie Wright of Tuscon, AZ and Melissa Marie (Kevin LaRose) Wright of Bellevue; son, Matthew Larry David (Amy) Wright of Brook Park; grandchildren, Brandon, Kat, Grant, Jaremy; Colton, Grady and Vince; great-grandchild, Grey; sister, Janet "Dodie" (David) Bishop; brother, Denny (Mel) Wright and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Friends may call on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. A memorial service will begin at 6:00 pm in the funeral home. Rev. Ric Babcock will officiate.
