Geraldine M. (Hornett) Durfey, 96, residing in Huron Ohio, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a wonderful and fulfilling life.
Geraldine was born on February 16, 1923 in Attica, OH to the late Andrew M. and Ethel (Wolford) Hornett.
Geraldine graduated from Attica High School and worked as an inspector at New Departure for 35 years. Geraldine was a member of the UAW 913. She was a caring mother, who in her spare time, enjoyed crocheting, baking, making people laugh and spending time with family. She always put others first and was always there to listen when needed.
Geraldine is survived by her daughters, Deanna Meyer, (Dan Meyer) of Castalia and Iris Winer, (Lee Winer) of La Porte, IN; sons, Douglas Bollinger of Huron, Ross Durfey, (Kathy Durfey) of Sandusky, and Kane Durfey, (Cindy Durfey) of Huron; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Geraldine is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Durfey Jr.; daughters, Chris King and Marcia Kluding; son, Brian Bollinger; and grandson, Russell Bollinger.
Cremation has taken place and burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron, OH at a later date.
