Esther M. (Toft) Riedy, 96, Sandusky, died Saturday, November 13, 2010, in the Providence Care Center.
She was born on July 6, 1914 in Sandusky. She worked for the family business, Toft's Dairy for many years. Esther loved to play Bingo, go on senior trips, the Cleveland Indians, and fish.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Louise (Joseph) Seitz, Upper Sandusky, OH; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred (Red) Riedy in 1994; her parents, Christian and Matilda (Kaufman) Toft; daughters, Shirley Miller and Alice Stanley; grandson, Jerry Miller; sister, Edna Meisler; brothers, Carl Toft and John Toft.
Friends may call on Monday, November 15, 2010 from 4-8 P.M. in the Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 A.M. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Williamson, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
