Bob Petersen, 95, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, October 3, 2019 at Ohio Veteran's Home.
Bob was born on February 10, 1924 in Cleveland, OH to the late Robert Joseph and Margaret (Smith) Petersen.
Bob attended West Technical School in Cleveland and was an electrician for the IBEW Local 38. He was a Veteran of the US Navy. Bob was a 32nd Degree Mason and past commander of the Cleveland area Masonic Lodge, the Cleveland area American Legion and the Local 38 IBEW. He was a world traveler, enjoyed spending his winters in Florida and was a professional "tinkerer."
Bob is survived by his daughter, Linda Hebert of Huron, OH; son, Brian (Laurie) Petersen of Thompson, OH and granddaughter, Samantha Hebert of Memphis, TN.
In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Doreen (McMahon) Petersen; son, Michael Petersen and sister, Mary Snyder.
Friends may call on Monday, October 7, 2019 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at the Ohio Veterans Home Giffin Chapel, 3416 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Chaplain Paul Birmingham will officiate. Burial will take place in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, OH at a later date.
