Hobert G. Williams III, 57, residing in Sandusky, passed away Saturday afternoon at Stein Hospice Care Center following a lengthy illness.
Hobert was born on August 27, 1962 in Sandusky to the late Hobert and Judith (Clapp) Williams II.
Hobert was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving from 1981 thru 1985. He was an independent owner/operator semi truck driver operating for many years. Driving truck was his passion.
Hobert was a member of the Norwalk VFW. He enjoyed Cleveland sport teams, The Ohio State Buckeyes, NASCAR, camping, fishing, reading and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Hobert is survived by his wife, Petrina (Boswell) whom he married on May 31, 1989; two sons, Shane (Erin) Williams of Sandusky and Hobert (Kourtney Damron) Williams IV of Huron; six grandchildren; two sisters, Kathleen Williams of Huron and Kimberly (Joe) Hardy of Norwalk; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to parents, Hobert was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Williams and nephew, Tod Williams.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 9th 2019 from 4-7 PM at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky.
