Sami Jean Taylor, 31, residing in Huron, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Sami was born on July 10, 1988 in Sandusky, OH to Julia (McKillips) Buchholz.
Sami graduated from Perkins High School in 2006. She was employed at Sortino's for over two years, where she held various responsibilities. Sami enjoyed the Halloween season, spending time with her family and friends, and her nieces, Ella and Rylee and nephew, Colton.
Sami is survived by her son, Jaxson Wilson of Sandusky; parents, Charlie and Julia Buchholz of Sandusky; her sister, Ashley Stookey, who Sami said always had her back; brother-in-law, Justin Stookey; special cousin, Heather Sleek of Sandusky and niece, Rylee Stookey, whom Sami considered her best friend..
Sami is preceded in death by her grandmother, Ginny McKillips and her aunt and godmother, Debbie Chapman.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 11:00 am. Pastor Wally Gilbert will officiate.
