LaVerne Barron

LaVerne Barron 64, Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, October 21, 2019, at Firelands Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Sandusky and graduated from Sandusky High School, Class of 1973. From there she worked 14 years for the Sandusky city school board, always advocating education to her family.

Prior to her death she was employed at The Great Wolf Lodge for 22 years.

From childhood, LaVerne was a member of Porters Memorial C.M.E. Church, Sandusky, at one point
serving as church secretary.

LaVerne is survived by her one and only son, Christopher Lynn Aaron, Sandusky; mother, Anna Barron, Sandusky; sisters, Mary (Orlando Nuby) Wilson, Sandusky, Yvette (Luther) Henson, Columbus ,OH, Melissa Norris, Sandusky; brothers, Steven (Shasta) Brown, Sandusky and Thirkee (Barbara) Barron Jr., Columbus, OH: grandchildren, O'Shee Davis, Chrishaunna Barron, Kore'sion Barron, Paris Hunter, R'mani Darden, Kortlan Young, Christopher Barron Jr., Cyndey Aaron, Logan Aaron, and Khristian Aaron; great-grandchildren, Ziah Caffey, Italy Caffey, De'yon Barron, Kane Young, Daijour Davis, and Daeshaun Davis; nieces, Sharel Wilson, Elise Brown, Niya Barron, Delaney Norris, Marteena McGill, and Joetorion Bush; nephews, Kenneth Simmons, Thirkee Simmons, Vincent Simmons, Tyrus Edwards, Fred Edwards, Elise Brown, Andrew Brown, and Marcus Brown.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thirkee Barron Sr.; brother in infancy, Sam William Brown; brother in law, Roy Wilson Jr;, nephew, Jevin Wilson; niece, Vanessa Barron; special cousins, Mary (Susie) Davis and Beverly (Norris) Pettis; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends may call on Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. Noon in Porters Memorial C.M.E Church, 1722 Third St. Sandusky. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
