Thomas J. "Scrap" Pace, 86, Sandusky, departed this life on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at home, after a brief illness.
He was born in Womack Hill, AL on September 17, 1933 to the late Rosa Lee Pace and McKinley Fluker.
Thomas and his identical twin brother were raised by their grandmother Willie and step grandfather Ed Towner.
He worked several different jobs before retiring from Union Chain after many years of service.
At an early age, Thomas was baptized and accepted Christ as his personal savior. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and family members.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memory, children, Joyce E. (Sherman) Caffey, Thomas L. Pace, John P. (Racquel) Pace, Victoria Pace, Natanya Siddell, Derrius Johnson, and Janet Philon all of Sandusky; sister-in-law, Rebecca Pace, Sandusky; fourteen grandchildren; twenty eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; aunt, Ruby Harrison, Mobile, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Idella Pace; daughter, Lisa M. Pace; mother and father; grandmother and step grandfather Towner, maternal grandfather Aaron Pace; and twin brother, John T. Pace, whom he truly missed over the years.
Friends may call on Saturday, November 23, 2019, from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 1 P.M. in Eagles Nest Church, 2126 Pipe St., Sandusky. Rev. Darrell Gant will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
