Judy E. Pearson, 83, Sandusky, entered into eternal rest unexpectedly, Saturday Nov. 30, 2019 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Judy was born August 10, 1936 to Josephine Webb in Six Mile, S.C. She relocated to Sandusky at the age of 8 years old with her mother and sister, and was a 1956 graduate of Sandusky High School.
She was employed with Sandusky Cabinet retiring in 2000.
Judy was a devoted member of Porters Memorial CME Church where she sang in the choir, served on the Usher Board, and on the Stewardess Board. She enjoyed bowling for many years as well as watching the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and The Ohio State Buckeyes, both football and basketball.
Judy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to which she leaves to cherish her memories her husband, L.Z. of 62 yrs., October 30, 1957; two daughters, Felicia A. Pearson and Monicia L. (Jonathan) Hall both of Sandusky; one son, Roger (Maureen) White, Cleveland, OH.; five grandchildren, Marquis Pearson, Dayton, OH, Jamar Pearson, Miah Pearson, and Miana Hall, all of Sandusky, OH, and Arrick Pearson of Columbus, OH; two sisters, Emma Smoot and Martha Webb, both of Sandusky, OH.; special sister, Tina Russell of New Haven, CT.; a special son, Howard (Sharon) Carr of Sandusky; seven great- grandchildren; a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her mother; daughter, Patricia Ann in infancy; son, Derrick L. Pearson in 2006; grandson, Darian L. Pearson in 2001; a great- granddaughter, LaQuiera in infancy; three sisters, Louise Johnson, Alline Brown, and Virginia Smith; mother-in-law, Laura Alexander; father-in-law, Norman Alexander; sister-in-law, Annie Pearson, and brothers-in-law Douglas MacArthur Pearson, Daniel Johnson, Eddie Smoot, John C. Brown, and Claude Smith.
Friends may call Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2011 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.. Funeral services will be Friday, December 6, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Porters Memorial CME Church, 1723 Third St., Sandusky. Pastor Phillip Moorer will provide the eulogy. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery
