Lois Faye Esposito

Lois Faye Esposito, 87, of Sandusky, Ohio passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, December 11, 2019 due to a prolonged illness.

She was born on December 21, 1931 in Sandusky to the late Michael and Mary (Imrich) Zura.

She married her love, Dominic J. Esposito, in September 1953, and who preceded her in death in September 2019. They were married for 66 years.

Lois graduated from Sandusky High School in 1949. As a young woman, she worked at Otto's Dairy and Esmond Dairy. In the 1960s she worked at Pick-n-Pay Grocery as a cashier and in the 1970s she spent time volunteering at Ontario School.

Lois took great pride in being a wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping for a bargain, perch fishing, and watching football with a bowl of popcorn on her lap. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Lois had a way of making others feel uniquely special. She was always generous with praise and genuine appreciation for the help she received from others. Lois was a lifelong member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Craig) Wolf of Huron; her son, Dominic Greg (Allison) Esposito of Bowling Green; 4 grandchildren, Zachary (Shay Nealis) Wolf, Emilia, Gianna and Dominic Esposito; 1 great-grandson, Loxley Nealis; 1 sister, Joan (Al) Kenyon of Mansfield, and sisters-in-law Gloria (Ronald) Catri, Pat (Anthony) Esposito, Diane (G. William) Hoffman, all of Huron.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by 1 brother, Robert Zura of Westerville, and numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law.

Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 9 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870. A luncheon will immediately follow in the church gathering space. Family and friends will depart the luncheon by 12:30 p.m. for the burial rite at Scott Cemetery in Huron.
