Edward Joseph Martin, 77, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Friday morning, December 13, 2019 at home.
Edward was born on July 4, 1942 in Ballville Township, OH to the late Howard John and Lovina Mildred (Keckler) Martin.
Edward was a 1961 graduate of Port Clinton High School. He retired from Standard Products as a machine repairman after 28 years of service. Edward was a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He enjoyed traveling, working with his hands and spending time with his family.
Edward is survived by his wife, JoAnn (McKnight) Martin, whom he married on November 1, 1996. He is also survived by his step-daughters, Kari A. Lane of Tallmadge, OH and Jennifer (Nolan) Kelly of UT; step-son, Donald J. Lane of Sandusky; two grandchildren and brother, Thomas Martin of Port Clinton.
The family would like to thank the staff at Stein Hospice Services, the Seidman Cancer Center and Dr. Bo Zhao for all their compassion and care for Edward.
Private family services will be held. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
