Dedra "Dee Dee" McKinney, 53, residing in Cleveland and formerly of Sandusky, died peacefully on Saturday, December 14, 2019, in University Hospital, Cleveland.
She was born on October 29, 1966 in Sandusky, graduated from Sandusky High School and attended Ohio Business College.
Dedra was self employed with her store Rahtumative, she also did daycare and was co-owner of B & I Automotive.
Dee Dee loved people and was passionate about life. She loved to cook, dance, listen to music, and be around her family and friends.
A loving mother of her only son, Zachary M. Brown-McKinney, Cleveland; father, Henry (Barb) McKinney, Lorain; brothers, Mario (Latoya) Johnson, Fremont, Josh (Aiesha) McKinney, Sandusky, Martin McKinney and Matthew McKinney both of Lorain; sisters, Roslyn McKinney and Denise McKinney both of Lorain; a loving god sister, Nikki may, Sandusky; good friend, Rondetta Moore; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra (Jackson) Johnson; brother, Henry Bruce McKinney; grandparents, James and Anna (Winfrey) Jackson Sr., Henry Hilton McKinney Sr., Richard "Ben" and Bessie (Reed) Fleming Sr.; aunts, Rita Fleming and Mattie Thomas; and uncle, Earl Thomas.
Friends may call on Saturday, December 28, 2019, from 11:30 A.M. until time of memorial services at 1 P.M. in New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1920 Eddie Henry Way, Sandusky. Rev. Valorie Whittacker will officiate.
