Lois A Geiger, 83, Norwalk, and formerly of Sandusky, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk, with her six children by her side.
She was born on January 15, 1928 in Sandusky, to the late Wilson and Marie (Good) Schippel.
She was a deeply devoted mother and grandmother whose passion was sharing her faith in the Lord with those she loved, and those she didn’t even know.
Lois is survived by her children; Diane (Mark) Miller, Kathy (Rod) Scott, Ray Geiger, Tricia Oswald, Janet (Rick) Marshall, and Wendy (Steve) Worrall; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Joan Speith and Vernona Bloomquist; brothers, Roger Schippel and Don Schippel; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Eugene R. Geiger, on October 16, 2005; parents, Wilson and Marie (Good) Schippel; sisters, Isabel Witter, Helen Nickles, and Virginia Bores; brothers, Les Schippel and Dick Schippel.
Friends may call on Friday, December 2, 2011, from 5-7 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 A.M. in Calvary Temple, Columbus Ave. & E. Washington Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Paul Bushhorn and Rev. J. David Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Temple in honor of our beloved mother, Lois Geiger.
