Mary Ann (Fischer) Taylor, 82, residing in Berlin Heights and formerly of Sandusky, passed away Thursday morning, February 6, 2020 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness.
Mary Ann was born on December 30, 1937 in Sandusky, OH to the late John and Catherine (Federkiel) Fischer.
Mary Ann graduated from Sandusky High School in 1955. She had been employed at Cedar Point, working in the kitchen. Mary Ann was a member of St. Stephen United Church of Christ. She enjoyed baking, watching sports, especially the Cleveland Indians and Browns and spending time with her friends, and especially her family.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Avery Lehner of Essexville, MI; sons, Terry (Lynn) Taylor, John (Lisa) Taylor, Bruce (Laura) Taylor all of Sandusky, Thomas Taylor of Berlin Heights and William (Lisa) Taylor of Sandusky; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Susan (Bill) Patterson and Christine Berkey both of Sandusky; brothers, Ted Fischer of TX, James (Connie) Fischer of Sandusky and Jack Fischer of Castalia; her dog, Pete and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene R. Taylor in 1997; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia (Jack) Sherwood and Eileen (Herb) Lavey; brother-in-law, Ken Berkey and sister-in-law, Toni Fischer.
Friends may call on Monday, February 10, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 11:00 am. Rev. Jerald Fenske of St. Stephen UCC will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
