Joshua Daniel Nims Sr.

Joshua Daniel Nims Sr., 42, of Castalia, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, March 26, 2020 due to natural causes and was received into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Josh was born on December 1, 1977 in Charleston, SC to Danny and Pamela (Feasel) Nims.

Josh graduated from Sandusky High School in 1996. He enjoyed serving people, whether it be in the food service, vending or financial planning industry.

Josh was a member of the Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene, where he loved to share his passion for the youth by being heavily involved in the church's youth group. Josh truly had a servant's heart and took care of those around him. He enjoyed Blue Streaks basketball, fantasy football, golfing, bowling, playing Fortnite with his three boys, and cuddling with his baby girl. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Josh never knew a stranger, he was a friend to everyone he met.

Josh is survived by his wife, Alisha (Steinmetz) Nims, whom he married on May 14, 2005. He is also survived by his children, Joshua Jr., Micah, Jacob and Kathryn "Katie"; his parents, Danny and Pamela Nims; sister, Rebekah Nims (Sandusky); brothers, Jason Nims Sr., (Huron) and Patric Nims (Sandusky); father-in-law, Floyd Steinmetz (Bellevue); sisters-in-law, Rachel (Steven) and Miranda; brothers-in-law, Joseph, Adam (Bethany) and Logan and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Josh is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Donna Nims; paternal step-grandmother, Beverly Nims; maternal grandparents, Gene and Elizabeth Feasel and mother-in-law, Regina Steinmetz.

A celebration of life service will be held at a future date. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
