Albert F. "Skip" Todi

Albert F. "Skip" Todi, 84, residing in Sandusky, passed away Wednesday evening, March 25, 2020 at Stein Hospice Care Center following a lengthy illness.

Skip was born on October 24, 1935 in Ithaca, NY to the late Patrick and Mary (Fowler) Todi Sr.

He graduated from Ithaca High School in 1953 and was a Navy reservist. Skip, a welder and mechanic at Sandusky Crushed Stone, retired in 1997 after 30 years of service. Prior to his retirement, he had worked in the salt mines in both the Ithaca and Cleveland areas. Skip was born and raised in the Catholic faith. He was a member of the American Legion Post 83, the Orioles Club and the former IAB Club. He enjoyed woodworking, building many model ships and other crafts, boating, fishing, reading, cooking, music, his 4pm Beefeater gin, a good cigar and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Skip is survived by his wife, Judy (Morton) Todi, whom he married on August 5, 1960. He is also survived by his daughter, Kelly Kresser of Sandusky; son, Pat (Linda) Todi of Sandusky; five grandchildren, Zachary, Kasey, Shane and Bailee Todi and Jordan (Brittany) Sternberg; three great-grandchildren, Kellan, Auburn and Parker Todi; his feline companion, Bob and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Skip is preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Giordano and brother, Patrick Todi, Jr.

Thinking of the health and safety of others, the Todi family has decided to have a private family service at the funeral home. Father Jeff Walker will officiate. Burial will be held in Oakland Cemetery. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with their arrangements.
