Catherine M. (Leitz) Conant, 63, residing in Collins, passed away Tuesday morning, March 31, 2020 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
Catherine was born on November 5, 1956 in Norwalk, OH to the late Bernard and Mary (Nemitz) Leitz.
Cathy graduated from St. Paul High School in 1975. She had many part time jobs over the years, but her true calling and full-time job, was being a mother and raising her three children to the best that she possibly could. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was always goofy and the life of the party at family gatherings. In her spare time, she enjoyed her monthly lunch dates with friends, walking and being outside, riding her bicycle and her dog, Lola. She loved her children and grandchildren with all of her heart.
Cathy is survived by her sons, Charles Drew (Ashlee) Conant and Matthew Thomas (Kristin Zander) Conant; daughter, Mary Allison "Allie" (Zac) Perez; grandchildren, Adrionna, Kai, Sophie, Jaxson, Jagger, Emmett and Baby Conant due July 29th; brother, Jim (Doreen) Leitz; sisters, Maribeth (Robert "Bob") Simon and Sharon (Neil) Myers; sister-in-law, Leslie (Marnay Schrock) Conant; nieces and nephews, Amanda (Mike) Sandifer, Emily Pierce, Justin Myers, Jessica (Casey) Cox, Sam Leitz, Paige Leitz, Alex Simon and Eddie Simon.
In addition to her parents, Cathy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, William "Bill" James Conant, whom she missed every day since his passing in 2012; her in-laws Charles and Alice (Anderson) Conant; brothers, Thomas Gerard and David Joseph Leitz and sister-in-law, Phyllis Jean Leitz.
Private family services will be held and conducted at a later date. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
