Olivia G. Schwiefert

Olivia G. Schwiefert, 81, Sandusky, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020, in the Commons of Providence.

She was born on January 8, 1939 in Sandusky to the late Clarence and Olivia (Miller) Kochensparger Sr.

She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Altar & Rosary Society, Bereavement Committee of the church, and a volunteer at the Ohio Veterans Home. Olivia loved gardening, trips to Amish Country and spending time with her family and grandchildren, baking cookies and cakes, handmade with love, for her children to eat when they got home from school.

She is survived by her children, Christine Jordan, Sandusky, James (Teresa) Schwiefert, Huron, Robert (Teri) Schwiefert, Norwalk, and Brian (Lyn) Schwiefert, Vickery; grandchildren, Ricky, Stacey, Nicole, Christopher, Elizabeth, Jason, Tony and Beth; fifteen great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ruth (Dave) Witter, Huron and Shirley (Ray) Thom Sr., Castalia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred C. Schwiefert; parents; son, Michael Schwiefert; sisters, Mary Fultz and Doris Bretz; brothers, Johnny Kochensparger, Clarence Kochensparger Jr., and Frank Kochensparger.

Private visitation and graveside services will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky. Father Monte Hoyles will officiate. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1605 W. Jefferson St., Sandusky, OH 44870.
