Felipe Rodriguez age 82 of Bellevue passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011 at his residence. He was born Oct. 24, 1929 in Cayey Puerto Rico the son of the late Bernafe & Manula (Rodriguez) Cosme.
Felipe retired from the Norfolk Southern Railroad in 1992 where he worked for 28 years. He was well known around the town and enjoyed keeping baseball statics, gardening, social events, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Mona (Peters) Rodriguez whom he married July 9, 1988, son, Felipe Cosme of Puerto Rico, daughters, Gladys Cosme of Puerto Rico, Carolyn Azzarella of Florida, in-laws, Pat Peters of Kentucky, Ron and Carole Peters of Texas, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild. In addition to his parents his daughters, Vickie (Payne) Zickefoose and Glenda (Payne) Bryant, sister, Maria Cosme, brothers, Jose D. Cosme, Sexito Cosme, Julio Juan Cosme, Jose L. Cosme and Manuel Cosme preceded him in death.
Friends will be received Friday, Dec 9, 2011 from 4 – 8 pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church 231 E. Center St., Bellevue. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
