Bobby Joe Spencer age 74 of Clyde passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2011 at his daughter’s residence in Clyde. He was born April 24, 1937 in Johnson County, KY the son of the late Frank & Lula Spencer.
Bobby was retired from the R.E. Steinbauer farm. He was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his sons; Duane (Linda) Spencer of Clyde, Tim (Theresa) Spencer of Clyde, Steve (Tracy) Spencer of Lexington, KY, Brian (Christie) Spencer of West Lodi, Daughters: Linda (Justin) Spencer of Clyde, Amanda Spencer of Clyde, 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and his brother James (Mary) Spencer of Morral, OH. In addition to his parents his wife, Lula Mae (McCoy) Spencer whom he married June 13, 1959 in Kentucky, a daughter, Tammy Collier and a brother Gene Spencer preceded him in death.
Friends will be received Monday, Dec. 12, 2011 from 4 – 7 pm at Foos – Klein Funeral Home, 318 S. Main St., Clyde where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Butternut Ridge Cemetery.
