Richard A. Speer, 89, Milan, died April 29, 2020 at Gaymont Nursing Center, Norwalk.
He was born January 11, 1931 in Sandusky to John F. C. and Elsie (Carnegie) Speer. He graduated from Milan High School in 1949.
Most of his career he was a driver salesman for DeSantis Distribution (Frito-Lay). He also was active in farming all his life.
He is survived by his son, Terry (Laura) Speer, Milan and his daughters, Becky Speer, Naples, FL, Robin Speer, Milan and Heather (Steve) Edwards, The Woodlands, TX., a grandson, two granddaughters, two great-grandsons, two step grandsons and two step granddaughters, five nieces, a nephew, four great nieces, three great nephews, one great-great nephew, and two great-great nieces, and a sister-in-law, Becky (Jim) Lorcher.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Heckelman) Speer, daughters, Amy and Julie, parents, sister, Mary Speer Weilnau, and a brother, John Speer.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in Milan Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
