Edward Adam McGuire, 94, residing in Sandusky, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Ohio Veteran's Home following a lengthy illness.
Edward was born on July 13, 1925 in Crestline, OH to the late Harold Edward and Ida Margaret (Miller) McGuire.
Edward was a 20 year Veteran of the United States Navy who proudly served his country during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He started his family company, Mac Aero, Inc. Edward was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association). He was a certified FFA mechanic and in his early days, Ed was a certified marine technician.
Edward is survived by his 4 daughters, Nancy Hawk of Huron, Judith (Bob) Graham of Huron, Sue (Leon) Cross of Sandusky and Liz (Jim) Daniel of DE; 4 sons, Steve (Karen), Tom (Deb), David (Beverly) and Chris (Kathy) McGuire all of Sandusky; former wife, Linda Brown; step-daughter, Cheryl Brown of New London; step-son, Robert (Kathy) Brown of Plymouth and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Edward is preceded in death by his wife, Beulah E. (Norton) McGuire; daughter, Deb McGuire; grandson, Adam Daniel and son-in-law, Leon Cross.
A private family funeral service will be held at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Father Phil Feltman will officiate services. The public is invited to join the family for the committal services on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 12 pm at Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky, OH.
