Larry Frank Weller, 72, residing in Sandusky, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Larry was born on November 23, 1947 in Sandusky, OH to the late Frank Ellery and Mary Grace (Hiltebrand) Weller.
Larry graduated from Sandusky High School in 1965. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving three tours during the Vietnam War. He was employed in the sales and delivery department at Esmond Dairy, Nickles Bakery and the former Sunbeam in Sandusky, Ohio. Larry was a member of First Baptist Church, AMVETS, V.F.W., and the American Legion, where he was very involved, as he was there every Monday, Thursday, and Friday assisting with Bingo and various drawings.
Larry is survived by his sister, Peggy Karnes of Salem, OR; niece, Sandy (Tom) Jones of Sandusky, OH and numerous great nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his nephew, Allen Tompkins.
A private family burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 12:00 p.m at the American Legion, 3615 Hayes Ave. Sandusky. Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
