Robert C. Dellinger, 81, Clyde, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at his residence.
He was born on June 22, 1930 in Willard, OH., and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Robert was employed by the former New Departure Hyatt in Sandusky for 30 years, retiring in 1978.
He was a member of the Perseverance Lodge 329 F. & A.M., Sandusky; Moose Lodge 392, Clyde; and the V.F.W. in Clyde.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jeanette (Dininger) Dellinger; sons, Burl (Susan) Dellinger, Monroeville, OH and Kelly Dellinger, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Jeremy Dellinger, Beth Lee, Rebecca Dellinger, and Josh Adams; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Cain, Florida, and Eva Miller, Bellevue, OH; and brother, Howard Dellinger, Willard, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carse and Mildred (Jarrett) Dellinger; daughter, Ona Sue Adams; sisters, Jean Debul, Ruth Ann Walker, and Connie Mae Norris; and a brother, James Dellinger.
Private family visitation will be held in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Inurnment will take place in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, where the American Legion Post 83 Honor Guard will provide the military tribute. Condolences may be shared at www.toftfh.com.
