Joseph A. Hosang, 88, of Bellevue was reunited with his wife, Saturday, December 17, 2011 at The Willows at Bellevue. He was born March 18, 1923 in Bellevue the son of Charles and Anna (Daniel) Hosang. He married, Kathryn L. Green on June 14, 1947 at Immaculate Conception Church, Bellevue; She preceded him in death on November 19, 2011.
Mr. Hosang served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Hazelback Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Bellevue; A member of the Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 490, Four County Young at Heart, and the Last Man’s Club.
He is survived by his son, Dennis M. (Joan Shoemaker) Hosang of Rockford, IL; three daughters, Kathleen (Gene) Fantozzi of Huron, Pamela (Timothy) Baur of Huron, Mary Beth (Kevin) Wadsworth of Clyde. Six grandchildren: Justin and Jeffrey Baur, Nicholas and Lauren Hosang, Benjamin and Hannah Wadsworth and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Hosang, Bernard “Jake” Hosang, and Walter “Ike” Hosang; sisters, Clara Hosang, Mary Schueler, Florence Hosang, and Gertrude Hosang; and granddaughter, Angela Marie Baur.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 East Center St. , Bellevue. Burial and Military Honors will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
