Bonnie L. Tyler, 66, of Monroeville passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on April 6, 1954 to the late Cletus and Phyllis (Herrick) Fries.
She was a 1972 graduate of Monroeville High School. Bonnie retired from CVG, Norwalk where she had worked for more than thirty-five years. She was a devoted and active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville. She loved watching her kids and grandkids play sports throughout the years. She enjoyed playing cards and dinners with family and friends. She especially loved her role as Grandma; coloring, cooking, baking, and playing rummy.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Michael J. Tyler; three children, Matthew J. (Julie) Tyler, Anne P. (Darren) Teal, and Elizabeth A. Tyler; two grandchildren, Taryn and Alayna Tyler; two sisters, Suzann Alt and Jean (Peter) Schafer; one brother, Joel (Michelle Turner) Fries; four sisters in law, Jean Fries, Carol Martin, Sue (James) Bloomberg, and Mary (Bernard) Hay; three brothers in law, Michael Bixby, Thomas (Darlene) Tyler, and Jack (Susan) Tyler, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dennis Fries and Aaron Fries; one sister, Cleo Bixby; her husband's parents, Robert and Margaret Tyler; two brothers in law, Edmond Martin and Joseph Tyler; nephew, Joel Fries Jr.
Friends may call from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, June 26, 2020 at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 27, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. Fr. Ron Schock will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Monroeville. A luncheon will follow at the K of C Hall, 131 Main Street, Monroeville.
