Marilyn A. Prewitt

Marilyn A. Prewitt, 74, Castalia, died Tuesday, July 7, 2020, in The Willows at Bellevue, following a long battle with breast cancer.

She was born in Sandusky on June 6, 1946, to the late Vincent and Elizabeth (Meyer) Smith Sr., and was a 1965 graduate of Margaretta High School.

Marilyn worked as a Nurse’s Aide for Parkvue Healthcare Facility for many years. She was a member of the United Congregational Church in Castalia, loved camping, gardening and traveling, most of all being with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Roy, to whom she was married 47 years; children, Audrey Collins, St. Petersburg, FL, Anna Prewitt, Clyde, OH, and Chad (Kristen) Prewitt, Port Clinton, OH; grandchildren, Wesley Zoellner, Danielle Zoellner, Briar Ried, and Noah Trent; sisters, Bonnie Reed, Alabama, and Judy Prosser, Sandusky; brother, Vincent Smith Jr., Washington; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call on Saturday, July 18, 2020, from 10 A.M. until time of memorial services at 11 A.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. John Paputza will officiate.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Marilyn’s name to the United Congregational Church, 205 Main St., Castalia, OH 44824.
