Dorothy C. Hauler

Dorothy C. Hauler, 93, of Monroeville passed away peacefully Sunday, July 26, 2020 in the Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk.

She was born April 15, 1927 in Monroeville and was a 1945 graduate of Monroeville High School.

Prior to retirement, Dorothy was employed for thirty plus years as an operator at GTE in Norwalk. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, sang in the choir, worked funeral luncheons, and cleaned the church for many years. Dorothy's hobbies included bowling, watching the Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers, playing cards, bingo, and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.

She is survived by one daughter, Deb (Ken) Smith of Norwalk; one son, William (Diana) Hauler of Monroeville; six grandchildren, Aaron (Patty) Hauler, Brian (Joey) Hauler, Michael (Stacy) Bush, Adam (Jen) Hauler, Lakyn (Mikal) Resor, and Alyssa (Adam) Roberts; sixteen great grandchildren; one sister in law, Margaret Hauler; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Cliff" Hauler; her parents, William and Clara (Rampe) Smith; five brothers, Steve Smith, Rudy Smith, Ed Smith, Walt Smith, and Art Smith; two sisters, Louise Stieber and Gertrude Reer.

Friends may call from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday, July 31, 2020 in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 1, 2020 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. Fr. Ted Miller will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Monroeville.
