Karen S.  (Francis) LaRose

Karen S. (Francis) LaRose, 70, residing in Bellevue, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday evening, July 31, 2020 at home following a courageous two year battle with cancer. She had an exceptionally kind and loving heart, and an unwavering love of family and dear friends whom she considered family. After her husband's spinal injury, Karen became his caregiver and was always positive, uplifting and reassuring to everyone. Her gentle and selfless nature became a shining light in the lives of all who knew her.

Karen was born on February 8, 1950 in Bellevue, OH to the late Eugene E. and Patricia A. (Bickley) Francis.

Karen graduated from Bellevue High School in 1968. She was manager of Gail's Women's World in Sandusky, Today's Woman and Oshkosh in Ft Myers, FL and truly cared for her customers. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Karen is survived by her children, Kevin (Missy) LaRose, Linda (Rich) Lilly and Liana (Paul) Miller all of Bellevue; grandchildren, Lucy and Lincoln LaRose, Zarek, Kegan, Gunnar and Dakota Lilly, Logan, Mason and Kaden Miller; siblings, Scott (Gayle) Francis, Jerry (Jeri) Francis and Kelly (Tom) Heckman; mother-in-law, Rose LaRose; sister-in-law, Jenny Schaefer; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

In additions to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Joseph LaRose on April 23, 2020 after having celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 11, 2020; nephew, Chad Francis; father-in-law, Salvatore "Tuttie" LaRose; and aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

Private family services will be held at Meadow Green Memorial Park Mausoleum. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with their arrangements.
