Artie E. Grissom

Artie E. Grissom, 58, went to be with his Lord and Savior July 25, 2020, at Firelands Regional Medical Center. He was born February 13, 1962 in Sandusky OH, the son of Otis Grissom, Detroit, MI and Gracie Grissom Brown, Louisville. KY.

Artie attended Sandusky High School and received a GED and was employed by Flextemp Employment Service and Gray Boyz & Peez Restaurant in Sandusky. Artie was a faithful member of The Greater Robinson Temple COGIC, as a young child and returned to his childhood church to rededicate his life. Artie was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and loyal friend who enjoyed joking and pranking his loved ones and reading and sharing the bible with others.

Artie leaves to cherish his memory his parents, wife, Denise R. Grissom; daughter, Shanta D. Grissom, Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Dontavious and DaNae Jackson; two step children, Shea and Ravon Rogers, both of Sandusky, OH; sisters, Teresa Grissom, Loiusville, KY, Doretha (James) Reed, Gladys Brown Knight, and Penny Brown all of Sandusky; brothers, Eddie Thomas, San Diego, CA, Charles (Joanne) Grissom, Sandusky, Otis (Shelly) Grissom, Toledo, OH, Chad (Amy) Grissom, Aubrey, TX, Peter J. Brown, Bellevue, NE, and Rodriguez (Tania) Morgan, Sandusky; 12 step-grandchildren; 2 step great- grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; a brother in infancy; sisters, Gwendolyn Walker Grissom and Lisa Morgan; and great nephew, Claudio Cassio.

Friends may call Friday, August 7, 2020 from 11 A.M. until time of Homegoing Services at 1 P.M.in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory 2001 Columbus Ave. Sandusky.
