Jeanette Lenczyk, 80, residing in Huron, passed away on Sunday morning, August 2, 2020 at home with her loving husband by her side.
Jeanette was born on July 13, 1940 in Buffalo, New York to the late Leo and Elizabeth (Kowalski) Garwol.
Jeanette received her Master's Degree in Education and had a lifelong passion for teaching. She was a professor at several universities including, Niagara County Community College, University of Akron and the University of Louisville. She took great pride in her responsibilities as President of the Faculty Women's Club at the University of Akron. After her career as an educator, Jeanette was the Chairperson for the Reform Party of Kentucky.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Dr. John Lenczyk, whom she married on June 25, 1960; daughter, Lisa Beth Lenczyk of Louisville, Kentucky; son, Jack (Jennifer Schwerer) Lenczyk of Huron, OH and 3 grandchildren, Joey, Jared and Jason.
In addition to her parents, Jeanette is preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Garbatowitz of Buffalo, New York.
At the request of the family no services will take place. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
