Deanna Lynn Gorman, 55, passed away shockingly unexpectedly in her sleep on Sunday, July 26, 2020 in Toledo Ohio.
She was born in Sandusky to the late Paul Edwin and Patricia "Pat" (Knoble) Gorman.
She was a lifelong resident of Northwest Ohio spending time between Sandusky, Toledo, and Huron. She was a 1983 graduate of Sandusky High School where she was active in the a cappella choir. After graduation she pursued her passion for nursing, first graduating from Sandusky School of Practical Nursing and later Providence Hospital School of Nursing. She was deeply drawn to care for the elderly and underserved and worked primarily in skilled nursing homes and at the Toledo Correctional Facility. Most recently, she lived with and cared for her beloved mother Pat, who passed away in late 2018.
She had a heart as big as the universe and was generous and caring to those less fortunate than her. She was a devout fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes Football and "The Best Damn Band In The Land." Deanna shared a love of all things NASCAR with her father Paul and took an annual sojourn with friends to the Michigan International Speedway for NASCAR races.
Born on Christmas Eve, she, like many generations of the Knoble family before her, made Christmas a seriously magical event with her talent of "decking the halls" and always giving the perfect gifts, including gifts for family pets. Christmas will never be the same without her joy of the season. Her beloved Cornish Rex cat Angel was always at her side to her last breath. Deanna has her angel wings and is now free of the mortal sufferings of this worldly life.
Deanna is survived by her sister Lisa Marie Gorman of Chico, California and her "niece dog" Gracie the Cavachon; her half-brother, Paul Gorman, and great nieces and nephews Kyle, Ryan, Alexandria, and Jeremy, of Michigan; her best friend, Joeylyn Dale who was her soul sister, and her beloved loyal cat Angel.
A memorial celebration will be planned at a later date due to the COVID-19 crisis. Inurnment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
Memorial contributions can be made to Back to the Wild, 4504 Bardshar Rd, Castalia, OH 44824.
Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky is entrusted with arrangements.
