Joyce W. (Shirey) McCombs, 90, Milan, died Friday, September 11, 2020 in The Meadows at Osborn Park, Huron.
She was born in Anderson, IN on September 8, 1930 to the late Milton Garrett and Mamie (McLaughlin) Shirey.
She graduated from Warren Harding High School and attended Ball State University. Joyce moved to Milan when her husband James died to be with her daughter.
Joyce loved fishing and boating with her husband while living in Naples, Fl, genealogy, garage sales, puzzles, and playing cards.
She is survived by her daughter, Jenny Sue (McCombs) Ortolani, Milan, OH; sons, John Thomas McCombs, Merritt Island, FL and James Garrett McCombs, Madeira, FL; grandsons, Michael, Anthony, Kristofer, Layne, Thomas, and Bryan (Mallory); great-grandchildren, Riley, Cohen, and Finnegan; and her writing pal, David Shirey.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Calvin McCombs; sons, Donald James McCombs and Jeffrey Scott McCombs; grandson, Jim; and a brother, Donald Keith Shirey.
Private family services will be held and burial will be in Champion Township Cemetery, Warren, OH.
