Anthony "Tony" Cammalleri Sr.

Anthony "Tony" Cammalleri Sr., 74, residing in Berlin Heights, passed away Thursday afternoon, September 17, 2020 at Stein Hospice Care Center following a lengthy illness.

Tony was born on July 9, 1946 in Sandusky, OH to the late Angelo and Lucy (Sarrica) Cammalleri.

Tony graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1964. He was a Veteran of the US Navy who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He was employed with the former Sam's & Barone Barber Shops in Sandusky. He retired from New Departure Hyatt in 2004 after 33 years of service. Tony was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. He was also a member of the VFW Vermilion Post 7576, Huron Eagles, Amvets, Post 17, and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 83.

In his spare time, he enjoyed bird watching, coaching little league baseball, having a beer with his friends and spending time with his family and friends.

Tony is survived by his wife, Kathy (Jalowiec) Cammalleri, whom he married on May 13, 1967. He is also survived by his daughter, Tabatha (Kenneth) Timmons of Bellevue; son, A.J. (Deanna) Cammalleri of Sandusky; grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler Cammalleri; sisters, Tina Gregory of Sandusky and Ginny Trueman of Monroeville; brother, Joseph Cammalleri of Sandusky and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A private family graveside service will be held in Oakland Cemetery. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
