George J. White Sr., 82, Sandusky, died Friday, September 18, 2020, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Conneaut, OH on February 26, 1938, to the late Floyd and Dorothy (Greenwood) White.
George served in the National Guard Reserves.
He was employed by Norfolk and Southern Railroad for 40 years, retiring in 2000.
He was a member of First Christian Church, past Worshipful Master of Science Lodge #50 F. & A.M., 32nd Degree Mason, Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo, Singara Grotto, Eastern Star, and a member of the American Legion Post 83.
He is survived by his son, George (Stephanie) White Jr., Fairfield, Idaho; longtime companion, Joanne Lee, grandchildren, Meaghann (Perry) Brown, Huron, and Matthew (Kelsie) White, Idaho; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Ethan, Brayden, Zoey, and Madeline; sister, Sue Ann White, Arlington, VA; brother, Robert (Alberta) White, Conneaut, OH; and several nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann White in 2004; parents; and a son, Jeff White in 1998.
Friends may call on Friday, September 25, 2020, from 9:30 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11 A.M. in First Christian Church, 3410 Hayes Ave., Sandusky. Science Lodge #50 F. & A.M. will hold memorial services at 10:15 A.M. Friday in the church. Rev. Don Spurlock will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
