Lloyd G. Walton, age 63, of Sandusky, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.
He was born May 25, 1948, in Rainelle, West Virginia and graduated from Nuttall High School, W.Va., in 1966. He worked for Sandusky Metal, Stowe Woodward, and retired from Delphi Automotive in 2006, after retirement he worked for Woussickett Golf Course. He was a member of UAW local 913. Lloyd was an avid golfer, sprintcar enthusiast and also coached Little League baseball for many years. Lloyd enjoyed having breakfast with his buddies and taking drives with his wife, Judy, on Sundays. His pride and joy were his 12 grandchildren and he was their biggest fan. He would attend all their sporting events, sometimes four or five in one day and was known as "Papa"
He is survived by his wife Judy (Oeder) Walton, two daughters Hilaria Walton, Sandusky and Heather (Keith) West, Sandusky; two sons Christopher (Angela) Walton, Sandusky, and Christian (Edie) Walton, Sandusky; 12 grandchildren; Nicolaus Walton, Thane Walton, Jacoby Walton, Tyler Walton, Luke Walton, Alyson West, Alivia West, Alizabith Walton, Ava Walton, Adalynn West, Talon Walton, and Audriella Walton; five sisters Glenna (Donald) Cantrell, Wanneda Hinkle, Debbie (David) Amos, Carol Kohne, all of Virginia, and Brenda Figueroa, N.C.; brother in-law Leon Hiser; and many nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Otis and Dora (Smailes) Walton; sister Gladys Hiser; three brothers Daniel, twin brother Floyd, in infancy, and Otis Walton; three half sisters Faye Holcomb, Gaye Pitsenbarger, and Lenida, two half brothers Delson Walton and Rexel Trout.
Friends may call from 4-7 PM Friday, December 30, 2011 at Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Ave. Sandusky, where services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at 11:00 AM. Minister Scot Lehrer will officiate.
