Terrence Brosnan, 84, of Sandusky, OH passed away peacefully at Firelands Regional Medical Center - Stein Hospice, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family.
Terrence was born on June 18, 1936 in Detroit, MI to the late Jeremiah and Anna (Griffin) Brosnan.
In addition to his parents, Terrence is preceded in death by his brothers, John and Jeremiah, Jr.
Terrence served our country in the US Army and was stationed in Korea. He worked for the City of Detroit for 30 years in multiple roles in the treasury department, and after retiring, he sold real estate for 10 years. He spent many years serving in the Catholic communities in which he lived and was a dedicated member of A.A. for more than 30 years. His faith in Christ and passion for serving others was truly remarkable. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, supporting them in all their favorite activities.
His most memorable qualities were his loving heart, child-like spirit, his humility and his unique knack for storytelling.
Terrence is survived by his loving wife, Alice (Platt) Brosnan whom he married on October 6, 1967; son, Brian Brosnan of Irvine, CA; daughter, Sue (Jeff) Wehner of Sandusky; 3 granddaughters, Kristen, Katherine and Addelyn and 2 grandsons, Brendan and Nathan.
Friends and family may visit on Sunday, October 11th, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a prayer vigil and Rosary to follow at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Monday, October 12 at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Father Zach Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
