Pauline Marie (Pulizzi) Pruitt, 85, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Tuesday morning, October 20, 2020 at Mill Manor Care Center in Vermilion following a brief illness.
Pauline was born on August 21, 1935 in Sandusky, OH to the late Vito and Barbara (Lamia) Pulizzi.
Pauline graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1953. She retired from Oscar-Meyer in 1989 after 20 years of service. In her retirement she worked with her son as a bookkeeper at Benny Vito's. Pauline was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the former IAB Club. She enjoyed playing Bocce ball, cooking, and baking. She was fond of the fall season and watching the leaves change color and loved doting on her children and grandchildren, and spending time with her family and friends.
Pauline is survived by her two daughters, Barbara (Scott) Schoewe of Sandusky and Kathleen Cicco of Deltona, FL; son, Benjamin Vito Pruitt of Sandusky; 8 grandchildren, Steven, Jenna, Amanda, Samantha, Benny Jr., Erica, Seth and Sophia; great-grandchildren, PJ, Alayna, CJ, Jaxon, Julianna, Caden, Conner and Carter; sister, Maryann (James) Dee of Sandusky; brother, Anthony (Terry) Pulizzi of Huron; sister-in-law, Anita Pulizzi of Huron and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Pauline is preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Pulizzi.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Burial will be held at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, Sandusky.
