JoAnn (Trieschmann) (Hunt) Spore, 89, residing in Huron, passed away early Monday morning, October 19, 2020 at Stein Hospice Care Center.
JoAnn was born on October 21, 1930 in Sandusky, OH to the late Wesley and Ruth (Bechtel) Trieschmann.
JoAnn graduated from Sandusky High School in 1948 and attended the University of Cincinnati for one year, where she was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority. She was the executive secretary to the treasurer at the Philco Corporation. JoAnn was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Sandusky Yacht Club and Plum Brook Country Club. She enjoyed volunteering and was active at the Firelands Hospital gift shop, and a former volunteer at Care and Share, Meals on Wheels, the Humane Society and the State Theatre. In her spare time, she enjoyed boating, golf, playing bridge, and shopping with her granddaughters.
She is survived by her husband, Judson P. Spore, whom she married in 2008; granddaughters, Stacie (Blair) Cathcant of Columbus and Danielle Hunt of Atlanta, GA; daughter-in-law, Laura Hebert-Hunt; step-son, John (Mary) Spore; sister-in-law, Amelia Hunt; step-granddaughters, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, JoAnn is preceded in death by her first husband in 2004, Jack Hunt, whom she married in 1956; sons, Jeffrey D. Hunt in 2016 and Randy W. Hunt in 2017; sister, Mary Kay Weilnau and brothers-in-law, Wayne Weilnau and Paul Hunt.
A private graveside service will be held at the Oakland Cemetery Chapel, Sandusky. Pastor Phil Gardner will officiate. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
