Frank A. Marsh, Sr., 77, of Sandusky, passed away after a brief battle with cancer late Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born on April 22, 1943 in Bristol, CT to the late Joseph and Helen Marsh.
A graduate of Bristol Eastern High School, he began working for General Motors after graduation, and then served in the U.S. Army, before returning to GM. In 1989 he relocated to Sandusky for work, making Sandusky his home ever since.
Frank was very active in AA, being a sponsor and helping in any way he could. He was a member of the American Legion Post 83 and donated to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Frank was a simple man. He loved to go out to eat and gamble every once in a while. He also loved the Boston Red Sox and listening to ‘50s Doo-wop.
Frank is survived by his son, Frank A. (Stacey) Marsh, Jr., of Barkhamsted, CT; grandsons, Chase and Luke, both at home in CT; sisters, Marion (Al) Gallnut, of Southington, CT, and Joan Corbat, of Bristol, CT; companion, Amy Sargent, of Sandusky; nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per Frank's wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the DAV, a charity very close to Frank's heart.
