Joie Marie Hansen, 33, residing in Sandusky, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Joie was born on February 20, 1987 in Indiantown, FL to Daniel E. Hansen Jr. and Maria (Guevara) Swint.
Joie graduated from Willard High School in 2006. Joie was a beautiful person, with a beautiful soul. She loved unique costumes and dressing up for Halloween. She enjoyed animals, music, and art; being an artist herself. Joie loved sushi and being goofy; she always laughed and she always listened. Joie loved everything unique and strange in people. Joie was always good with children, and loved them all; she was a child at heart. Joie enjoyed attending anime conventions, anime and cartoons in general.
Joie was such an amazing person, with a special heart. She was very loyal, caring, and kind. Joie will be deeply missed by all who knew her and forever loved.
Joie is survived by her mother and step-father, Maria (Robin) Swint; brother, Paul (Jolene) Hansen; sister, Donna (Jesse) Likes; step-sisters, Kayla and Melissa Swint; five nieces; seven nephews; closest friends, Phil, Lisa, Shekoda, Ashley, Verna and Alison and her two cats, Kuro and Gismo.
Joie is preceded in death by her father, Daniel Earl Hansen Jr; maternal grandparents, Francisco and Guillermeana Guevara and six loving uncles.
Friends may call on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 12:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Deacon Phil Dinovo will officiate.
