Elizabeth "Lizzie" L. Allard, 72, Sandusky, died Friday, November 13, 2020, at her residence.
She was born in Sandusky on November 25, 1947, to the late Carl M. and Margaret (Colwell) Bahnsen.
Lizzie worked for KBI and stayed busy by cleaning houses.
She was a proud member of AA, getting ready to celebrate 43 years of sobriety. Lizzie lived for AA Loud and Proud for without it she would have had nothing. She was an inspiration and was respected by so many people that she help find recovery. A fun and loving person, she loved sunflowers, her family and friends. She played Elf for Santa, loved traveling, especially to Arizona and the Grand Canyon.
She is survived by her brothers, Carl T. Bahnsen, Sandusky, and Jules (Ann) R. Bahnsen, Tennessee; sister, Elise M. Bahnsen, Sandusky; step daughter, Jennifer (Ryan) McCarley, Michigan; step son, Paul Allard, Sandusky; grandchildren, Brenden Ferry, Lexi Ferry, Michelle Allard, Tony Allard, Bryan Allard, and Amanda Hannpag; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful companion, Gi Gi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald Bahnsen and Richard Bahnsen; sister, Audrey Heiberger; and a step son, Joseph.
Friends may call on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 from 5-8 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Private services and burial will take place in Oakland Cemetery.
