Michael "Mike" Lynn Walton, 57, residing in Amherst, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Amherst Manor Retirement Community.
Mike was born on March 10, 1963 in Sandusky, OH to Otis and Shirley (Ware) Walton.
Mike graduated from Perkins High School in 1981. He had been employed at the Sandusky Coal Docks and Tower Automotive. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, hunting and fishing. He was a very hard worker, who served as a good example to his family. Mike was an avid sports fan, especially the Cleveland Browns. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren.
Mike is survived by his wife, Mary (Lay) Walton, whom he married on April 1, 1986. He is also survived by his mother, Shirley Walton; daughters, Jean Drzewiecki of IL and Jessica Walton of Sandusky; sons, TJ (Jen) Gilbert and Stephen (Cierra) Walton both of Sandusky; grandchildren, Savannah, Alaina, Damien, Layla, Urijah and Jamisen; sisters, JoAnne Walton of Sandusky, Nancy (Casey) Volz of Sandusky and Patty (Ron) Schlea of FL; brother, Jim (JoAnn) Walton of Sandusky and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Mike is preceded in death by his father, Otis Walton.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 10:00 am until the time of memorial services at 12:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky.
