Harry S."Juney" Morrow, 90, formerly of Sandusky, passed away peacefully surrounded by family December 2, 2020.
Born on May 15, 1930, he lived most recently in Fort Myers Beach, Florida.
He graduated from Sandusky High School in 1949, where he excelled in athletics, achieving 7 varsity letters in football, track and basketball, holding the longest discus toss record of 139' 6" for 10 years. Being an avid swimmer, he was a lifeguard at Lions Park and Battery Park Boat Basin.
Harry enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he was stationed at Great Lakes Illinois, traveled the world, and served for four years as a Navy Frogman in the Korean Conflict. After his service, he married Patricia Bland on July 12, 1952 and together they had four sons.
He was a contractor/carpenter by trade and retired from Scott Paper Company. He was an avid boater and enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie and in the Gulf of Mexico.
He is survived by sons, Robert (Deborah) Morrow and Ronald (Susan) Morrow both of Sandusky, Thomas (Kathy) Morrow of Columbiana and Timothy Morrow of Huron. Grandchildren include Brandon Morrow, Brent Morrow, Bradley Morrow, Katy Ferrell-Hachey, Jordan Ferrell-Basting, Taylor Ferrell, Marshall Tannehill III, Eric Tannehill, Coleman Morrow and 9 Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patricia Bland Morrow on March 2, 2010 and brother, Raymond Morrow.
The Morrow family would like to thank Stein Hospice staff for their comforting and loving care of their father. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date due to the pandemic.
