Tony Lee Alexander

Tony Lee Alexander, 62, Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2020 after a lengthy illness.

Tony was born on June 10, 1958 in Sandusky, Ohio. He is the eldest of his mother, Willie Mae Key's nine children and the eldest of his father, Leon Murphy, Sr.'s seven children. He was raised by Willie Mae Keys and Milton Alexander, Sr.

For 22 years, Tony helped to save many lives through his work as a Radiology Technician, Bone Density Tech, Phlebotomist, Medical Assistant. Through the pain and suffering of his illnesses he never lost his wit - he was a loving, giving person - and a practical joker who loved to make people laugh. His laugh was infectious and he never met a stranger. He enjoyed watching the news, sports, and listening to music. Tony loved his son, Tony, grandchildren, family and friends unconditionally and they loved him right back even more.

Tony is survived by his wife of 30 plus years, Delphine Delores Alexander; son, Tony McKinney; grandchildren: Jamaree'a, India, Jaxon, and Aze'Vearah; stepdaughters: Roxanne Epperson and Kizuwanda Allen; siblings: Deloris, Evon, Michael (Cindy) Alexander, Milton (Sherri) Alexander Jr., Melvin Alexander, Darlene Alexander, Keith (Tonya) Alexander, Yolanda Smoot, and Carmella (W.D.) Durrah, Ann, Leon Jr., Darryl, William (Dasaisha), and Chris Murphy; stepfather, Nelson Keys; grandmother, Mattie Clark; special aunts and uncles, Joe Sr. and Russell Murphy, Reverend Ella Pearl (Dewitt) McDonald, Brunell (Danny Sr.) Aaron and Annie (James) Murphy, Claudine Page, Janine Pickens, Sandra (John) Fennell, John (Pam) Pickens, Ronald (Sheryl) Pickens, Wayne (Mary) Pickens, Willie Jr. (Michelle), Billy Ray Parker and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his adopted father, Milton Alexander, Sr., father, Leon Murphy, Sr.,
sister, Linda Gail Murphy; stepson, Sam Epperson; uncle, James Murphy, Sr., aunts: Elsie Mae Hardin, Fannie Murphy; Pauline Williams, Wendy Clark and Erin Pickens; his maternal grandparents, Tommie and Hattie Davis, and paternal grandparents, Joe and Florence Murphy. He was joined in glory by his beloved mother, on November 28, 2020.

Friends may call on Saturday, December 5, 2020, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. Noon in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky, where the family will Celebrate the lives of both Tony and his mother, Willie Mae Keys. Entombment will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
